Diving and The Water Palace

Probably looked forward to the most by many on our vacation was the Diving Day!  Having organized the vast array of equipment for 15 people the night before, we crammed into a van and a small car and headed our for “The Shipwreck” and “The Wall.”

None divers included pregnant Kristi and I who cannot clear my ears. I went along however to take care of baby Ezra while Aja took the plunge. This little baby is THE BEST little guy! We all adorned him and took every opportunity to play with him when he wasn’t attached to his mom (which wasn’t really very often). Aja is amazing!

While the other divers were down, Julie, who was the only one not yet certified, took a diving lesson in the pool near the dive site and then went down with a nice dive instructor from Australia who had walked into a door in the night and had a pretty serious black eye! She came up all smiles!

Everyone seemed to have a splendid time!

On the way home we were thrilled with what we found at a place called The Water Palace. It was stunning!

Of course, being Eyres, we just had to jump for joy!  What a place!

And just so you know they all landed safely:

Balinese stone carving is simply astonishing! All these characters below embody many symbols. Not enough time to elaborate but it’s truly amazing!
