I Won’t Be Home for Christmas!

Well, since nobody is going to be here for actual Christmas Day this year (including us), I thought I’d at least show you what you’re missing!  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

A favorite new thing:

Something wonderful and creative from Eva’s mind…

a photograph of Handel’s original manuscript of The Messiah with a most important word magnified:

Our favorite nativity scene sculpted from olive wood and hand-brought from Jerusalem by our own Eli!

And something that almost all Eyrealmers will recognize from years past:

Since you “kids” can’t be home, we are so grateful that most everyone will be “clustered” for Christmas this year. We’ll cluster with the Looslis in Ogden on Christmas Eve morning just before we leave for the airport on Christmas Eve afternoon  We’ll be waking up on Christmas morning in Sequim with Jonah and Aja, Ana, Cam, Elsie and that precious new Poem! Pothiers and Josh will be together in Az. Eli, Julie and Charity will cluster at the Shumways house in Boston, Anita and Tal will be clustering with Anita’s family in Switzerland and Noah and Kristi will be clustering with Kristi’s family in Texas. Scott (Kristi’s Dad) will be home from Iraq!

We will be having the official Eyre party with all of Grandma’s family we can gather at Maddox on December 23rd (18 adults and 9 kids) and will be glad that at least Saren and Jared’s family will be there to represent all of you!

The best part is that so many of you are coming after Christmas! Josh I think on the 28th, Eli on the 30th, Charity and Noah on January 1st (when we’re having the official Eyre/Carver party with snow activities 10-2) and Tal (straight from Switzerland) on the 3rd. We’re going to extend Christmas to that week here!  Love the holidays and LOVE Him whose birthday we celebrate all season!

oh, i wish we could be there. Charlie would die over all that snow and Hazel would be in heaven with all that beauty.

we'll miss you guys terribly, but be thinking of you lots (especially when we open all those presents that have been coming). We feel loved and we love you guys.

Makes me wish we could see the snow...at least for a day or two...then come back here to the warmth!
