Those birthdays just keep coming around! I’m so glad we live close to one of our families so it feels like a real celebration! There’s nothing like kids to make a birthday happy! It was raining so we enjoyed some delicious Italian Wedding Soup prepared lovingly by Saren.
The kids thought the traditional Boston Cream Pie Birthday Cake (sort of) looked like a big burger so Grandfather tried to oblige:
Since it was raining seriously, this is as close as we could get to jumping in the leaves this year.
HOWEVER, Saren did a most beautiful post for her dad on her blog with the most exquisite collection of leaves and deep thoughts as a tribute to her dad here. Thanks Saren for making Dad’s birthday one he’ll never forget!
