A Peek at Noah and Kristi’s New House

Our kids are spread far and wide across the U.S. namely, NYC, DC (those kids are moving to NYC on Tuesday), Boston, two in Phoenix, (one of those kids is moving across the neighborhood soon), Orange County (recently moved from San Diego), Palo Alto, Hawaii and one in Ogden, Utah. We are a family on the move! This week we saw three of our sons who came out to Utah for a conference.

But the point is that since our kids are far-flung, not everyone gets to see everyone else very often and sometimes it’s a year between visits when we gather at Bear Lake. SO, since Noah and Krisiti have just moved (see their whirlwind move including eight-year-old McKays’ baptsim in the last post here), I took a few pictures of their new home while we were there last week (although there’s lots more to see). Therefore, this post is mostly for our family members who haven’t yet seen where their brother and sister-in-law live and may not be there any time soon. If you want to peek in, you’re welcome.

This house is not far from a house they rented when they first moved to CA from NYC. It’s a great house! Plus the blue sky and 75 degrees, while there is a blizzard in Utah says a lot!

Adorable Noah and Kristi at the front door:

I think Dad likes the dining room!

A living room with lots of light!  We loved sleeping on this great “blow up” sofa-bed that we spent many nights on when they lived about 500 square feet with three kids in NYC!

McKay is becoming quite a delightful piano player!

Sheri in the kitchen (we love this girl)!

The kids love their new house (and new couch in the family room from Craig’s list):

I’m wondering if Noah is going to put their trampoline over the fire pit? There doesn’t seem to be room anywhere else!

There are still a few boxes to unpack but these guys have done an amazing job of unfolding in a new home in just a few days! Thanks to Charity, Scott and Susan Monson (Kristi’s parents who came from Dubai for the baptism) and Sheri plus some nice new neighbors, they are still alive!

We love this family’s optimism!  As Noah and Bennett would say…’'Upward and onward!”

This looks like a nice house. Moving can be a tough thing!
I came over from your daughter Shawni's blog and it's great to hear from your family.
Can I ask who Sheri is? Is she Noah and Kristi's nanny?
Greetings from Germany,
Jasmin

Sheri is one of Noah and Kristi's very best friends who has been with them through thick and thin and always shows up at every family occasion laden with gifts and love! They think of her as part of their family. (They wish they had a nanny!)

Congrats on the new house! Just got done reading up on your blog and had a quick question. I was hoping that you could email me back when you get the chance. Thanks!
