What a city! If you can survive the traffic, you can find anything you want in Mexico City!
Culture and sculpture:
The beautiful Opera House….
It seems that there is a similar sculpture in DC….
A crystal glass curtain on the Opera House stage. Millions of tiny beads of colored crystal create the volcanoes that surround Mexico City.
Fountains…
A police line getting ready for a demonstration, .and a cute guy not looking as though he’s wanting to demonstrate…
Beautiful museums and old churches slowly sinking into the ground with the weight of their stone….
…and lots of people seen from the back seat of the car…
Fabulous supermarkets with things we don’t often see in the states:
It’s hard to even find Jicama in our grocery stores. Looks as thought they use quite a bit here…..
And plentiful limes and lemons….
Huge baskets of dried peppers with varying degrees of heat…
Piles of cactus leaves….
….and a place nearby, dear to many Eyrealmers, especially because Zara has just move to a “new home”!
What a city!
