Wild Fun in Costa Rica

We really dint’ know what we had in store when we started this adventure. They explained it as a journey through three zip lines, then a repel for a 200 foot tree in the rain forest and then an hour ride down a white water river in tubes. We figured that since we probably wouldn’t’ be back to this very place on earth, we should  just do it!

It must admit being a little apprehensive on the first zip line, but after that it was all fun!

The tubing river below was absolutely incredible! A bunch of Costa Rican workers somehow moved those boulders by hand for six months to create a path for the tubes. It was mind boggling! The river had to be at least two miles long! Many of the rapids were levels 3 and 4! I have to say that we were grateful for those helmets after banging our heads in a couple of big rocks and hitting bottom once in a while. We were twirling most of the time so It was like being on a Tilt-a-Whirl for an hour. We had absolutely no control over where we went. The tubes just swept us down the path So we just had to relax and enjoy it!

We smiled when they told us after it was over that they had only been in business for six week and it was the low water season, but our guides were terrific! It was so fun! I have to say….that’s a day we’ll never forget!
