A Well-Deserved Honor!

We arrived home just in time to be with Saren at a lovely luncheon at the Little America Hotel where she was honored as one of the 2012 Utah Mothers of Achievement by American Mothers Inc.

See her there to the right of the woman with the aqua jacket? The event was MCed by a popular news anchor shown at the pulpit.

It was so fun to see her receive an award for all her hard work on Power of Moms in addition to rolling  out those five kids in five years who are thriving so beautifully!  She was in pretty good company as another of the recipients was Elaine Dalton the General Young Women’s President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

It was a perfect moment for her to receive an award because after about 5 years of working on the Power of Moms website almost 24/7, they finally struck gold just days before the ceremony (while Saren was in CA on spring break with her kids and also conducting a Power of Moms retreat in Palo Alto over the weekend). April Perry her stellar partner in the creation of the website wrote an article that went viral. Within a few days, their website had received ONE MILLION HITS!

Luckily their webmaster just happened to be on hand since he is Saren’s genius husband who kept adjusting the website when it crashed over and over again with the heavy traffic. We are all over the moon!  The article is called Your Children Want YOU!   To access the article click here.

And check out the amazing, uplifting articles, webinars podcasts and online training for deliberate moms at powerofmoms.com. We would also love to see you at a Power of Moms Retreat that we are hosting at our home in Park City this Friday May 11th which also includes a Mind Organization for Moms clinic on Saturday morning May 12th taught by April Perry. Details are on the website at powerofmoms.com.

But I digress! Back to our totally delightful day. We loved seeing so many family members there (including Jared of course and two of their kids Isaac and Eliza) to help celebrate the event!

We loved having my sister Lenna there along with her daughter Lindsay and her daughter Hazel.

Of course the proud dad was there too!

It was a day to be tucked away in the treasure chest!  In addition to being an accomplished writer, speaker and leader Saren is just thoroughly good…all the way through!  Well-done Saren! Thanks for all the time and effort you have put forth to help mothers reach their potential as we all progress toward producing happy, well adjusted children. Your education from Wellesley College and Master’s degree from Harvard have been wonderful instruments to help you fulfill your goal of helping mothers know that the most important contribution we can make in this life is through Motherhood!

So exciting! Wish I could have been there to cheer her on, but your photos and description are the next best thing!
