Lovin's Looslis

Wow we had so much fun with the Loosli kids this week.  The fam arrived on Sunday while we were at Bear Lake with Eli and Julie.  We stopped to go to church with Grandma Ruthie where we got caught up on the progress of the family history (which is fabulously entertaining and beautifully done).  We met up with the Looslis at Baliwood where they had been taking pictures of their family with Saren and Jared dressed in wedding attire in honor of their tenth anniversary.  The light in the house was gorgeous and I can't wait for Saren to send some pictures on of that beautiful couple...as well as their five darling kids!  I'll let Saren tell you the detail as she puts pictures on their blog but I just have to say that Jared well and truly outdid anything I've ever heard for a tenth anniversary celebration.  Congrats on a fabulous job Jared!

Here are a few pictures of the our latest discovery of a wonderland for kids, just across the street from our house.  We had such a great time at the "This is the Place" Park.  They have done an amazing job of making it a truly fun place to visit for kids and adults alike.  There is a great train that takes you all over the grounds as well as a little train that zips around a little pond.  A GREAT time was had by all!

Grandfather started out to go to "George's Store" and ended up at the park with himself and three kids without shoes.  That gravel got pretty sharp after while so Grandfather rented Ashton's flip flops from him and everyone survived.

The petting zoo was spectacular with little sheep, goats, bunnies and a little stream running through it that was so fun for the kids to play with.

You gotta come and enjoy it with us!  This place is just very cool! The next day grandfather took them all to the zoo for the morning and it was so fun to hear Saren and Jared's adventures when they returned on Tuesday.

The next day we headed up to the lake with our tennis friends. It was so great to catch up and enjoy being together in glorious weather (although rain was forecast).  It is always a trick to get everything ready to feed and entertain 10 people but they helped with food...especially Petersons who brought fabulous gourmet food!  Two of our friends the Cowleys and the Ridds just returned from missions so they had some great stories to share.

Now we're back to landscaping and catching up.  Eli and Julie are going with us to the amazing art exhibit at the University Museum of Fine Art at the U.  It's called "From Monet to Picasso" and supposed to be fabulous!

The fall weather is glorious and we're looking forward to going to a Regional Conference downtown tomorrow and then going up to the lake with the Claytons.  Eli and Julie have found a great deal on an apartment but we'll let them tell you about that.

Hope all is well no matter where you are!
