Whirlwind July

Wow, July has whizzed past like a roadrunner!  Our darn smart kids know how to change the dates on blogs so that it appears that it was posted when it actually happened but since I don’t know how to do that I’m going to have to start at the first of the month and just keep posting for the for next few days in order to catch up…mostly so the I can remember the wild whirlwind of fun with kids, grandkids, friends, cousins, aunts and uncles and extended family, kids friends and in-law relatives!  We’ve had an average of 28 men women and children to feed and bed down every night. Wild and Wonderful!

One of the biggest family events was the opening of my some of my sister’s kids opening their new restaurant in Centerville. It was one of our first stops after returning from Europe and that great American hamburger tasted pretty spectacular, not to mention the delectable salads!

The Eyres are now fans of TonyBurgers and we are so proud of their accomplishments! Take the Centerville exit and travel East for about four blocks. It’s well marked on the right.

On July 1st, the Pothiers arrived at Baliwood with the wonderful Claudia and Blake family and their four adorable girls.  Pictures of that cute family are all in Shawni’s camera, but it was fun to enjoy them for a few days before we took off for Bear Lake.

Saydi and her little tribe walked off the plane on July 4th!

And we headed for Bear Lake where we enjoyed a campfire that night and a simply spectacular fireworks show!  Groups up and down the beach for one-upsing the pyromaniacs beside them and we even had a few of our own to show off. A great time was had by all!

An old picture of Saydi at the Lighthouse showed how much her kids, despite the fact that most people say they look like Jeff, do in fact, look like her too!

Just as our Arizona friends left with their girls, about 14 of our favorite people in the world arrived…who provided friends for all ages…parent, children and grandchildren!  We had so much fun catching up and enjoying their company, even though the child to adult ratio was pretty heavily weighted toward the kids!
